I think it’s safe to say the 2025 growing season I think it’s safe to say the 2025 growing season is officially under way. 

Tired, but more than that, deeply fulfilled. This is what we live for 🫶🏼

Having dairy animals is one of my favorite homeste Having dairy animals is one of my favorite homestead things. Every part of their gifts to us, the milk, is used. 

🥛 milk to drink
🥛 cream for butter, ice cream, whipped cream
🥛 mozzarella, cottage cheese, cream cheese
🥛 ferments like kefir 
🥛 raw milk yogurt
🥛 whey for fermenting chicken feed
🥛 fertilizer for the garden

Not to mention SO much more. The possibilities really feel endless. There are recipes on the blog on my recipe index for dairy if you want to learn more. 

A whole year later and we are still enjoying the fruits of our labor.
