Healthy Fruit and Veggie Popsicles for Kids

These healthy fruit and veggie popsicles for kids will be a fast favorite. Sweet fruity flavors will refresh your family on hot days with an added veggie bonus no one will even notice!

Equipment

  • 1 6 Piece Popsicle Mould

Ingredients

  • 1 pint jar canned pineapple zucchini -or- 1 and 1/2 cup peeled chopped fresh zucchini and 1 and 1/2 cup 100% pineapple juice.
  • 1 banana halved
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract optional

Instructions

  • Gather ingredients
  • If using fresh zucchini, peel the zucchini and chop into 1/2 inch pieces after removing the center section seeds.
  • Combine ingredients into a blender
  • Blend until smooth
  • Pour into popsicle moulds and add popsicle sticks
  • Freeze overnight or until solid
  • When you're ready to serve, allow to sit at room temperature for 5 minutes, or run under warm water until they slide out easily
  • Enjoy!

Notes

These popsicles can be made in almost endless ways! Just be sure to choose a fruit and a more mild veggie component.
Try them as smoothie pops by adding yogurt or milk
Making a little extra of the popsicle mixture for your little ones to try while they wait for the popsicles to freeze is a great way to get them excited, while helping their patience.
